Ed opened the curtains and stood at the
large bay window, staring at the beautiful landscape as the morning sun rose.
He lifted his coffee cup in salute. “Earth - the final frontier!”
“What did you say?” Edna asked, not sure
she heard him correctly.
“Earth,” he repeated. “It’s my favorite
planet.”
Edna shook her head. “And how many other
planets have you visited?”
“I’ve seen brochures,” Ed replied,
somewhat annoyed. “I’ve seen shows on television. I’ve got books with pictures.
There’s no place like Earth. We could have done a lot worse.”
Edna nodded and smiled. “No argument there.”
